Kundapur: A swift raid by Lokayukta officials into the office of the Sub Registrar, Kundapur Taluk , on Wednesday July 18 evening, resulted in uncovering Rs. 20000/-  of illegal money or call it, Bribe money!

Lokayuktha held the raids in the Sub Registrar's Office without giving any clues prior to their operation. When the files were scrutinized,  Kavitha, the Sub Registrar had Rs. 17,900/- in her possession, and the treasurer Ananda Rs.1,645 with him, so also did Vanajakshi, clerk with Rs. 1,070., The money has been recovered by the Officials.

SP DS Jagamayyanavar speaking to media  said that cases would be registered against the erring officials.

Lokayuktha SP DS Jagamayyanavar; Lokayuktha DySP Sadananda Varnekar; Dist. Lokayuktha Officals BP Diniesh Kumar, Lokayuktha Inspector Thimmayya and clerical staff took part in the raid.
