Udupi: Lions Club District 317 C,  had its Cabinet Installation Ceremony on Saturday July 28,  held in Ammanni-Ramanna Shetty Auditorium. Installation Officer VV Krishna Reddi installed the new Office bearers and District Governors with oath-taking ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that : "Lions Club is an International Organization. Society receives immense benefit from this organization, where they serve the needy community. Our youth who are numbering in unemployment, need to be given advice and direction. It would be wiser, if Lions Clubs could minimally open a few Vocational Education Centres, which could ensure our youth in becoming secure and independent".

New District Governor Dr. Madhusudhan Hegde introduced the new cabinet to the audience and outlined in details the  new goals of the club.

Mumbai Crime Branch Police Officer Daya Nayak, the Chief Guest of the programme was honoured for his best services to this country.

Multiple Council Chairman S. Ramachandran; District First Governor HN Shiva Kumar : Second Vice- Chairman Suresh Prabhu,  Immediate -Past- Governor Indrali Jayakar Shetty; District Lioness Co-ordinator Vijaya G. Bangera, were present on the dais.

Earlier Padmini did a prayer dance, followed by prayers by  Sushma .  Subramanya Hebbar led the National Flag to the dais in procession and offered respects. Hoisting the Lions Flag, prayers were offered for World Peace.

Lions First Woman Shobha M. Hegde inaugurated the programme and appealed everyone's co-operation for the Lions Programmes.

Lions  PDG Basrur Rajiv Shetty welcomed the gathering. Panduranga Acharya proposed  vote of Thanks; Jayarama Acharya compered the programme.
