Mangalore: HJV Washing Hands Off on Resort Attack

Published Date: 30 Jul, 2012 (12:48 AM)

By Violet Pereira, Team Mangalorean

Mangalore: Hindu Jagarana Vedike State Convener Jagadish Karant, held a press meet at Hotel Woodlands here on July 29 to clarify the assault on the college students at the Morning Mist resort near Padil.

Rejecting the allegations made on the Vedike about the July 28 assault on the College Students, Jagadish  said," HJV is not involved in such activities. This is a pre-planned attack to spoil the image of the Vedike. Yes, Subhash Padil is the resident of the area, and he is a Vedike member too. But while he was involved in the assault he was not representing the Vedike, but participating as a resident protester along  with other neighbours, near the resort.

Further Jagadish stated that , in the city , sex tourism racket is going on and poor girls become victims of such rackets. The district administration should take action against such rackets and stop such illegal activities. We are concerned about all the girls in the city and we are planning to hold a rally to highlight such illegal activities. We are ready to give any kind of information regarding such rackets to the police so that it will help them to eliminate such activities. We have informed the district administration and the city police about the illegal activities in the resort but no action has been taken, he added.

HJV members Kishore, Shashi and Kiran were present at the meet.

Jagadish Karanth says the Mangalore city is become sex city and saying that HJV is not responsible. It is like disowning the own kids when they do some thing wrong and washing hands....

Mr.Karanth, you may fool the public from far away places saying they do not belong to your organization. But we the area people know who is who.
Shaikh Mohd Rizwan, Turkey Jul 31, 2012
Mr.Raju

Your comments seems to be more insane than the the whole controversy.Don't forget 'Saffron terror"is taged to RSS by no other than Home Minister Mr.Chidbaram. After pub attack one more Member of Parliamentarian tagged 'Hindu Tabliban'.Now it is C.T.Ravi member of RSS and minister is saying the same.

What is your problem if a women goes to educational institute fully covered?Do you dictate your own family members how much they should show their body?

Sir,Earlier a Bhatakalian is tagged terrorist by famous ZEE TV and home minister has to retract his statement once he has been proved innocent.Don't forget Bhatakalians are Indian and are actively serving in Indian Air force for this nation.

A lust is common for human being but how to control is major fact. You seems to be a regular visitor for pub, bars
the Morning mist attackers are similar minded people like you.

You should be in front line for condemning the attack on women but your comment shows your mentality.

The society is just making this matter a big isuue by blaming the guys and girls partying there. Instead they can question the people who thrashed those girls voilently. All the citizens above the age of 18 have the right to live their life according to their wish and will. And about dress code,I personally belive that there is no dress code to be followed while attending any parites with family and friends. Everybody can where a dress which they are comfertable in seeing the occasion they attend. I request all the college students to protest against the sivasena association untill we dont get justies. The society is just stretching this matter too very much. There is nothing wrong in wearing short dress's and having drinks. The thing is we should know what we are doing.
Without knowing what exactly has happened there it is wrong on our part to comment. I guess we must give the victims a chance to share out their exact views.

Sachin USA,

All Hindutva thugs are like chameleons, they keep changing their colors. Few days back Nazism is not connected with RSS and now when it was exposed thru wikipedia why Netajai go to Germany?

If you have noticed no RSS thugs condemned the attacks on girls at the resort.

Shame on Jagadish Karant. He was supporting his activists in the morning saying they were righteous in action and they were his moral police acting in accordance with his party principles. By evening, he has chicked out and now washing his hands and saying those guys are local hooligans. Shame.
Robert Tauro, Mangalore, India Jul 30, 2012
Karanth is saying that Subash is just a member of his HJV and whatever he did was in his individual capacity. Whatever it is, if Karanth had little sanity he wouldn't call this incident as protest. May be 'PROTEST' is the term they use for hooliganism in his organisation.

A lot has been said about this shameful incident. Now it is for the Government to take stringent steps to stop such incidents occurring again in the future. I can't understand why all these Bajarang Dal, Rama Sene, HJV are required if the District and State Administration is capable of controlling and combating such incidents.

I think the authorities concerned should spread awareness through TV channels (which reaches almost every house) and warn people as to what happens if they take law into their hands, what kind of punishment they will be meted with, as a true citizen of this country how can one help the police or the authorities concerned etc., They must conduct regular sessions in TV medium covering various social issues so as to educate the people, as I am sure most of the people are not aware of the Laws and consequences. Most of the time the innocent youngsters get trapped into the plan of master minds who woo these young blood to indulge into such anti-social activities.

Probably Mangalorean websites could take up these suggestions with the local administration, to spread awareness.
dasmond, India Jul 30, 2012
It is the lack of deterent punishment in the past that has embodied these activists to indulge in such Talibal type behaviour. Charging then with the Goona Act will put an end to this menace for ever.
Sunny, India Jul 30, 2012
HJV is a chameleon; first they openly take credit for the attacks and then when they realize that this has become a national issue outrage they slowly wash their handds off.

This illiterate outfit is a disgrace to the Hindu community; we must not allow them to use the name of Hinduism to forward their personal evil agenda.

I hope Mangaloreans will not sleep over this matter; we urge like minded organization to drag these goons to court and ensure that their rear gets whipped,
Alphonse Mendonsa, India Jul 30, 2012
Change of Colour by HJV when heat turned on. Now the screw is tightened, they conveniently wash off their hands of their dirty works. if their member is involved, definitely it is the work of HJV.

HJV officially invited the media persons and how can they now deny this?? Yes, now they are caught red handed and there is strong opposition for their acts, they chose to deny their involvement. However, no more tolerence from people of these dirty minded people and they should be taught a permanent lesson. Instead these people should involve in social work and should not poke their nose in other's business.

Taliban Type Behaviour Will not Be Tolerated - C T Ravi

Very good statement.
When people misuse the law and implement their own laws and justice they should be discouraged and punished.
Although God has given everything good to our twin districts he also has balanced it by giving the traits of Jealousy/selfishness and false gossip to the people here. These are the root causes for such behaviour.

Jagadish Karanth says sex tourism goes on in the city.Is he talking about Thailand or Bangkok.
Is Karanth interested in stopping prostitution let him form his HJv and attack prostitutes and bring them to the police station.Going to raid prostitution dens by HJV will be good job and also impossible task. The pimps will finish them off. It is always easy to attack civilized people and they have their life latter instead fighting the goons of HJV and spoil their future going to police station and coming back.
Once the record is created in the police station the poor people will not get their passport a good job.
Pramod, USA Jul 30, 2012
These Chakk*'s are now feeling the heat and realizing the implications for supporting the Women Bashers and Mollesters.

Shame on you chakk*'s of HJV.
Shaikh Mohd Rizwan, Turkey Jul 30, 2012
Dear readers,

Hindu Jagaran vedike is having first hand information on Sex Tourism rackets in the dist.as earlier said by another venom's sting Kaladka Bhat.May be the their activist either serving as pimps or regular clients; so they have more information than the intelligence wing of the police force.

If the accuse is member of HJV how is he separate from the post attack? It is just like RSS is defended Pakistani flag hoisting in Sindangi. Why they don't ask police to arrest accuse if he is not a member?

HJV,RamSena and Bajrang Dal keep doing moral policing we want Kudla Mangalore to be international hotspot.Lets see Home Minister is only sitting at home or is he taking stringent punishment against the accused more than his words.

Earlier people have to remember Mangalore for famous Kori roti, unfortunately pub attack, porn incident and now Sex tourism made famous by HJV will it be a Thailand of the West coast?
