Good job done. The Pond was gone and paamaji and Alengi had made their home as long as the water managed to remain till February - March. I used to swim there. I was a poppular place for children to meet and swim and play. It looks good now. The State Government paid for it... Good. There are area water ways the Pond water flows west to the Papanaashini River through the Thodu.... I wish the Agricultural department of Karnataka State Government do something to help build it and help is agriculture which may feed few stomachs. Let it be a Spiritual and physical service by the Government.... Get is done all the way...to Join the river just 800mts to the river... would not cost few lakhs... All The best...

I don't know why State gets involved in Religion. Since we have the bad habit of mixing religion with politics, we have filthy characters from both fields (religion and politics) ruining our society!!

@ Arun - Please note that the Muzrai dept deals with Hindu temples. So it doesn't talk about Churches and Mosques. This is not just in Karnata state. This is based on Supreme Court's decision in 1980. Does it help?

Only 25,000 Temples are in bad shape? what about Mosques, Churches. Even the 1000 Pillar in Moodbidri in bad shape. why you are not talking about that?

Mr. Kota,
Whose money you are paying to temples & who gave authority.

When the new govt comes next year, may be they need to beg in the street to function it.
