New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS) The Supreme Court Monday declined to interfere with a Karnataka High Court order granting anticipatory bail to former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in a case related to alleged favours in the granting of a mining lease.
An apex court bench headed by Justice T.S. Thakur told Additional Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran that there was nothing in the high court order that came in the way of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducting its investigations into the matter and filing a chargesheet.
The court said the investigating agency could move the high court if Yeddyurappa was not cooperating with the probe. The apex court said this when Parasaran told the court that Yeddyurappa was not cooperating ever since the high court granted him an anticipatory bail June 21, 2012.
The court said, that the high court order granting him an anticipatory bail was subject to the condition that he would cooperate with the investigations.
"We have no manner of doubt that once you go to the high court saying that he is not cooperating it would issue necessary directions," said Justice Thakur. |

| This Yediyurappa, whether he is on bail or otherwise is virtually ruling Karnataka,as the d'facto C.M. It is he, who is thwarting the process of appointing LOKPAL. It is he who makes the ministers and dictates what they should not do which may go detrimental to his interest and safety. The present C.M.is only a shadow C.M.of Yediyurappa. Can we believe that in such apolitical climate, our police and the investigating authorities, perform their duties objectively and effeciently, to the expectation and confidence of the citizens? |

| THIS MAN YEDDY SHOULD BE ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY AND NO BAIL SHOULD BE GIVEN TO HIM WHATEVER THE REASON MAY BE. YEDDY IS THINKING THE COURTS OF KARNATAKA IS IN HIS POCKETS AND HE CAN TAKE BAIL WHENEVER HE NEEDS. IF HE DOES NOT COOPERATE HE SHOULD BE PUT BEHIND BARS FOR ONE YEAR ATLEAST WITHOUT BAIL. WHY YEDDY IS SCADE TO GO TO JAIL NOW ? WHEN HE WAS LOOTING MINES AND LANDS HE DID IT WITH COURAGE WITHOUT ANY FEAR. HE WAS ALWAYS SAYING IN PUBLIC RALLIES, I AM READY TO GO TO JAIL. NOW WHAT HAPPEND ? GO TO JAIL NOW. WHY YEDDY NEEDS BAIL NOW ? SHOUTING IS EASY BUT WHEN IT COMES TO REALITY THEN NO COURAGE. SHAMELESS. |
