Udupi: Colorful dances, parade mark I-Day celebrations - Achievers Honoured

Minister of Muzarai and Udupi District- in charge minister Kota Srinivasa Poojary has said that the State Government is committed for the development of the whole udupi district.  It has approved several significant development works and has released the necessary funds for the same.
 
He said after hoisting the National flag and accepting the guard of honor at the 66- Independence Day Celebrations programme organized by the District Administration at Mahathmagandhi District Stadium Ajjarkad  on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.
 

"The government has been taking steps for improving performance in areas like education, health, roads and power.  The problem of title deeds in the district has been sorted out. People who inherited the government land until last January are given title deeds under Karnataka Land Revenue Act Section 94-C. District has received as many as 68,000 applications under various beneficiary programmes for poor, of which, 12,000 to 13,000 are considered as non eligible. As many as 18,000 beneficiaries have been benefited under Bhagyalaxmi Yojane. About 2,584 bonds are still to be distributed under the programme. Under the lake and pond restoration programme, the district has received Rs 7.5 crores of funds. There are as many as 138 tanks in the district, of which restoration works of 90 tanks have been completed and the works on remaining 48 ponds are nearing completion. About 655 lakhs is released under CM rural road development programme and additional fund of Rs 576 lakhs  is released under third finance Commission to repair the roads in the rural areas. As many as 34.2 Crore are released under Rural Drinking Water Scheme. Udupi district has eighth place in  the State in the disposal of applications under the Sakala scheme (The Karnataka Guarantee of Services to Citizens Act). Out of the 1,28,935 applications received till now, 1,20,830 were disposed" Said Kota Poojary.
 
Earlier the Minister took guard of honour from District Police, Reserve Armed Guards, Fire Brigade, Home Guards, NCC, Scouts – Guides and Service Corps and watched their colorful march past. Persons with achievements in the field of education were honoured.

BJP will come back to power only if it starts promoting simple and honest personalities like Mr.Poojari. The party needs to throw out other 'heggaNa' characters looting our money. It will be good for the state and party.
