Bangalore: Archbishop Bernard Moras Conveys Id ul Fitr Greetings To Muslims

Published Date: 19 Aug, 2012 (7:46 AM)

Press Release

Bangalore: Archbishop Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore along with his fellow Bishops and leaders of all the other Christian churches and denominations in the Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights  sends, on behalf of the whole Christian community in Karnataka, cordial and fraternal greetings to our Muslim, brothers and sisters  as they celebrate Id ul Fitr at the end of the Ramadan fast.

This past month has been for them a sacred time of purification from evil through fasting, of coming closer to God through reading and meditating on His word in the Qu’ran, and of coming closer to one another through zakat (charity) and the Iftar meal. All of us, followers of all religions, are called to similar purification and to closeness to God and to one another. May we all on this holy occasion experience this closeness and strengthen the bonds of friendship that bind our different communities together  into a single family of Indians.

Eid Mubarak to all brothers and sisters - these are words that have come from the heart and mind of our great leader - Archbishop Bernard Moras. Scores of people join Our leader and mentor Archbishop Moras to sing the same chorus. After all we are brothers and sisters and different faiths cannot separate us. Archbishop Moras has all along stood for a cause and has been firm in his belief that we are all children of MOTHER EARTH and religions and beliefs cannot separate us.

Kudos to you Archbishop Moras on your leadership and initiative to keep every one united.
