Mangalore: Government Ban on Appointments of Teachers A Blow to the Poor

Mangalore : “The ban on appointment of teachers by the government is a great blow to the poorer sections of the Society  who receive quality education in the aided private management schools and concerted efforts must be made  to get the ban lifted,” said Sr Wilberta the President of Bethany Educational Society on the occasion of the Annual General Body meeting of the Society held August 19, 2012.

The correspondents expressed the problem faced regarding the payment of substitute teachers and the difficulty of providing quality education to the children.

The report presented by Sr. Rose Celine, the Secretary underscored the excellent performance of  most of the schools  in the SSLC and PUC exams  and their superior performance in the  extra curricular activities at State level and National level. The members resolved to give priority to the training of youth to be agents of peace and harmony.

Bethany Educational Society founded by Mgr Raymond Mascarenhas,  a champion of education runs more than 100 schools all over India , and 40 schools are situated in Karnataka.  Most  of these schools were started more than 50 years ago and have rendered great service to the poor sections of the Society in the remote areas of Karnataka.

This Govt.will not long last. Always against the poor section of society plus minorities.
