Udupi: A incident of a missing married woman and her paramour who disappeared from Kuthpady, having now committed suicide by jumping into a river has been reported from Kadekaru near Hoyge Thota, here on September 13.

The deceased have been identified as Sangeetha aged 24 years from Kuthpady and Gaurish aged 21 years from Bannanje.

Sangeetha who hails from Palli had married Satish of Kuthpady five and half years ago. From past one year Sangeetha was working in Shanthala Electronics in Udupi. Sangeetha came across Gaurish who was also working in the same company and their intimate relationship grew stronger day-by-day. On September 11 morning Sangeetha was seen talking to Gaurish by Satish's parents near their house, and that's the last time she was seen by Satish's family. But on September 11 night when Sangeetha did not return home, Satish registered a complaint in the Udupi Police station about his wife gone missing.

Unfortunately, on 13 September, both the bodies of Sangeetha and Gaurish were discovered near Hoigethota river banks, Kadekaru, Udupi.

It is suspected that both have committed suicide.  Udupi town police have registered the case.
