New Delhi: Thousands of people join hand together demanding the release of under trail innocent Adivasis, Dalits and Muslims on bail at Jantar Mantar. As part of "BAIL IS THE RULE; RELEASE THE INNOCENTS FROM JAIL" nation-wide campaign to demand the release of innocents from 15 August 2012 to 15 September 2012 demanding the release of innocent Popular front of India organized a human chain at Jantar Mantar New Delhi on 15th September 2012.

The human chain started by 11.00am and the participants took oath led by Popular front of India Chairman EM Abdur Rahman.

The oath is as follows:

"We, the citizens of India, who have joined hands to form this Human Chain, declare our commitment to the democratic and secular values enshrined in the constitution of our country and protected in our legal system.

We believe every citizen should be treated innocent unless and until he is found guilty by due process of law.
No accused individual should be kept in jail.
We strongly believe that bail is the rule and jail is an exception.
We call up on the government to release the under- trial prisoners of the country on bail.
We all pledge to strive together to prevent illegal arrests, to free under trial prisoners, to provide compensation to victims and to withdraw UAPA amendments and all black laws".

The Human Chain which lasted for thirty minutes, also raised slogans demanding release of innocent Adivasis, Dalits and Muslims on bail. Many family members of victims participated in the human chain.

Followed by the human chain a public meeting was held at Jantar Mantar in which various leaders including Popular Front Chairman EM Abdur Rahman, Human right activists such as Arundathi Roy, Rona Wilson, SAR Geelani,Dr.Sai Baba, , Prof P Koya (NCHRO), Moulana Shahul Baqavi (All India Imams Council), Hafiz Mansoor Ali Khan (SDPI), Yasin Patel, Kavitha Krishnan (CPI-ML), Aneesus Zaman (Campus Front) , Omar Khalid (DSU) and various leaders/activist addressed the public.

Following the meeting a nation wide signature campaign was launched by Human right activist Arundathi Roy demanding the release of innocent.

And well known Human Right Activist Arundathi Roy addressing  the public said "thousand of innocent Adivasis in many states of India are been arrested who don't have a piece of bread to eat. And after the demolition of Babri Masjid picking up of Muslim youth begun in big scale. I demand that all this innocent political prisoner to be released on bail immediately"

SAR Geelani told " its high time Police have been arresting Muslims youths now especially from the educated class such as Ahmed Kazmi etc we should start responding through legal and non stop agitations"

Similar human chains were organized in more than 100 centers throughout the nation with same demand on the same date and time simultaneously.

Pai, you seem to know recognize all code language, may be your masters have taught you this, before packing you off to US.

Adivasis are arrested as supporters of Maoists and Naxals, Muslims are arrested as supporters of terrorism without any proof, they are held in detention, with no bail, and no charges.

How would you like it if they did the same to you over there in the US.
Ubaid, India Sep 20, 2012
Mr Pai USA.

The vast majority of the citizens detained by the police without judicial oversight in India are muslims. When the Sangh Parivar goons attacked churches in Mangalore, the police bowing to sangh parivar pressure locked up catholic youth for close to 2 years without judicial remedy, they did not arrest sangh parivar people.

You live in the USA, enjoy complete freedom and protection of your rights there though you are minority because they respect their law. Do they detain any US citizens in the US, indefinitely without judicial oversight ?.

I have seen your comments, your comments are acerbic and your best attempts at trying to hide your true feelings for minorities in India and their rights using your wit is not working. You seem to want to deny the rights to minorities in India, which you are enjoying as an minority in the US. I think the Sangh Parivar which has indoctrinated you had blinded you reason. If you so much believe in their ideology why don't you come here and work for your country, atleast a lot of poor minorities here are working for their country.

You want one set of privileged rules for you and one for everyone else.

That community prompted for that case almost it seems, that was y they used that term. Some of the people are arrested because of his name, and religion who are innocent. So there is no problem for using that term.

Detention of people without framing charges against them in court is illegal.

But now in the name of terrorism people are being detained all the time for long periods with no judicial remedy. It reminds one of emergency times.

WoW!! All the fraudsters speaking in code language to fool the media and public!! Why are they bringing up religion ('muslim') here? Why can't they fight for all innocent people? What about innocent Catholics, Sikhs, Budhists, Brahmanas, Shettys, Gowdas etc? Well, we all understand this group and their secret agenda!! Just watch out - the daughter of Lankesh will try to copy the same at State level !!
