Verve 07: MATS Belgaum overall champions - Images

Mangalore, Feb 15: 'Its easy to lecture and tell people what to do, but making them execute a particular task with dedication and discipline is some thing that takes people to greater heights and this could be done only by motivating people' was the message given by Mr. M V C S Karanth, DGM – Karnataka Bank who was the chief guest for the valedictory function of Verve – 2007 held on February 15, 2007.

Verve 2007 came to an end with 19 teams from all over Karnataka and neighboring states participating in this mega event. There were overall six events pertaining to Marketing, HR, Finance, Business Plan, Business Quiz and The best CEO. Each event had manglorean flavour as they were named after various locations in and around Mangalore like Finance Game was termed as MONEYPAL, Marketing event was named as CENTRAL MARKET, Business quiz was named as TALAPADY, and best manager was called SULTHAN BATHERY.

The overall championship of Verve - 2007 was bagged by MATS BELGAUM. KLS's IMER – Belgaum were the Runners Up. Mr Madan Kumar Kamath from ICFAI – Udupi was adjudged the best CEO.

Mr Santhosh Shanbagh, the staff coordinator welcomed the gathering. Fr Denzil lobo, Director - AIBA stressed on the importance of continuous improvement which is essential to become the best leaders of tomorrow. His message to the participants from various colleges was to go back and think on doing some thing more and creative and not being complacent which leads to stagnancy.

Dr Paul Aquinas, Dean- AIBA, Mr. Vishal D'Souza and Mr Rexon Naronha, the student coordinators were present on the dais. Mr. Daryl John Pinto, funds coordinator specially thanked all the donors. A Special mention was made about UAE Exchange, Mr Ronald Colaco of Holly wood Town – Bangalore, Toshiba and HCL, Karnataka Bank and Cambridge Integrated Services India Ltd for their generous contribution towards Verve - 2007.  Mr Vishal D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

KLES’s IMSR, Hubli won the first place in Business Quiz, MATS School of Business, Belgaum won Marketing, HR events and Business Plan. The most innovative finance event was won by KLS’s IMER -  Belgaum.
