Mangalore, May 11, 2008: BJP state President D.V.Sadananada Gowda has flayed the Congress party for loosening internal security concerns. He was speaking to the Press before he launched the campaign for the party’s electioneering in Mangalore today.

Referring to the bomb blasts at Hubli district court Mr. Gowda stated that the blast were blotch on the UPA government, being not able to control the terrorists. He said the south used to be peaceful and free of all terrorist activities but now it had become as bad as the north India.

Mr.  Gowda stated that the State had become  safe grounds to operate and get away. He said some of  the colleges had become training grounds for terrorists in the state. The Congress and the JDS were abetting the training of the terrorists in the state. BJP election observer Padmanabha Acharya, district president Monappa Bhandary, former MLA Yogish Bhat, MLC Ganesh Karnik, and Sudhir Ghate were also present.

After the press conference Mr. Gowda went on a paadayathra at various places including Kodialbail and other city areas in support of votes for the Mangalore city South constituency candidate N. Yogish Bhat. Mr. Gowda went around the city asking for votes and said Mr. Bhat was one of the cleanest politicians that the state would get and wanted the people to vote for him.
