BANGALORE, July 18, 2008: Thousands of devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba on Friday found thronging to a house at Gavipuram in Bangalore city, located in southern part of India. The reason is that TV channels are showing visuals of the idol of Shridi Sai Baba with one eye open.
Today being Gurupoornima day considered very auspicious by Sai Baba devotees, the news spread and thousands of devotees are thronging the house to experience what they claim as miracle by Sai Baba. Some believers say that it is a trick to draw crowds to the house and temples.
Surprised at the one-foot high marble idol with one eye open, the house owner Babu said the he was blessed by the Lord. Hundreds of women visited the house to seek the blessings of the Sai Baba. "When I was trying to cleanup the idol I noticed that the left portion had some particles. I cleaned it up and the God opened his eye. It is my fortune. People are thronging to my place," said his wife Lakshmi. The police have been posted at the house to control the crowd.
The famous Shirdi Temple is located at a distance of 260 km from Mumbai in Maharasthr, but lakhs of devotees adore Sai Baba idols at home and worship the lord. A few years ago, television channels, radio and newspapers eagerly covered a unique phenomenon called Lord Ganesha drinking milk offered by devotees in Mumbai and other parts of the country. Even sceptical journalists held their milk-filled spoons to the statues of gods - and watched as the milk disappeared.
Speaking to this Mangalorean.com correspondent, a devotee said "I am a devotee of Sai Baba and today I am really feel very happy." Many people, young and old, found standing in a queue in front of the house in the small locality of Hanumanthnagara to offer their prayers to their Lord.

i have 30 years of photo with us but we belive in sai but when you experienced miracle then you belive. without experience it is not to belive. |

| It is not a miracle as i went to Gasvipuram to see the Shirdi Sai Baba's statue and i was even not allowed to see it closely by Babu family.This shows something mistery is going arround the statue issue.I heard the building who has it recently recieved a legal notice from the court to vacate it.The court has authorized the concerned police to do this.And i wonder very few devotees were arround the statue not how they were in the beginning.Public should only notice it. |

I would have preferred to, had it been that another baba, to have a relaxed rendezvous about his allegedly occult acts. Mr.Narendra Nayak’s presence would have cleared all my incertitude. Apparently a BBC reporter had debunked his magic and mysteries on camera. Search on BBC website for more details. Interestingly enough it never appeared on the Indian media. That shows how unreliable and politically controlled our journalism is.
Would the associated people conclusively demonstrate the super natural phenomenon behind the statue by participating in the James Randi’s ‘Million Dollar Challenge’? Apparently nobody has ever challenged it, so why not give it a go?
Just curious, what was the other eye doing during the process? Was it too reluctant to be bothered? Did it have anything to do with symbolism? Why didn’t he start talking or walking instead, so that every devotee around were convinced? Was the opening of one eye his only super natural talent?
Divinity might have its own existence in the believer’s mind but how it takes shape or form in this physical world is beyond me. All the religious teachings say God created this universe, which, as anyone can think, is a “super natural event” in this “physical realm”. So, after that event what happened to him? He just chilled, saying…”I can’t be bothered any more…”?
In any case, I had a plenty of other fish to fry over the weekend. Kaadi modn udkaanth galunk pursoth nathlli baba :-)…Will be back next week.

Dear Sai Brothers and Sisiters
Sairam devotees Our Mother Sai is always watching and protecting us but we never tried to know and we have taken everything for granted. What happened now is only an eye opener to us to know that Baba is not just idol sitting and simple accepting what ever we do, as we like. With this leela, we should understand and realize that Our Mother Sai is watching us always and might feeling bad for the present situation, as it is going worse to worse politically, finically and socially, with selfish motives.
Sairam, Our Lord Mother Sai, wants to tell to us that, he is watching and instructing us not to do mistakes, not to feel jealousy, not to feel bad for others, not to feel pride, not to feel ego, not to feel selfish, not to feel proud, not to hate others, not to steal from others, not to tell lies, not to take bribe, not to fight for ourselves, not to punish others, not to use the power which is temporary on others, especially who are weak, not to enjoy and make others suffer, not to threat weak and threat the poor. Sairam devotees, finally Lord Mother Sai opened the eye, to open our eyes which are blind till today and unbale to see Our Lord Sai Maa in others and creating problems within us and making it a big confusion to the creation that made by our Mother Sai. So Our Mother Sai opened eye to open our eyes to just Love all and Serve all and think of God (Our Lord Sai Maa) and be good and usefull to society, do the best possible for society, be positive and be generous and be kind to others especially to the poor and needy and be wonderful human and be with Baba to enjoy the bliss of his creation without attachement and finally merge with him.
Sairam, please excuse me for the mistakes, if i have done and sairam to all and my love and regards to all. We all are one big family know has Sai family and we all came from Our Lord Mother Sai and we have to go to him again.
