Kasaragod: The bodies of a male and a female were found in a suspected case of suicide in a lodging house in Kannur on Sunday.
They had checked in on Saturday and since they had not come out for a long time, even until late in the night, the police were informed.
When the door was forced open, they were found hanging from the ceiling fan with a single rope. They were later identified as Sowmya (28), daughter Kunhambu, a trader from Kottodi in the district, and Sudhish (25), from Melekodot Kelakkeveed in Rajapuram. They were believed to be in intimate relationship with some time.
Sowmya's husband Suresh is employed abroad. They were married in 2005. Sowmya suffered from depression because of loneliness, sources said.
