Kundapur: The most anticipated "Drama" film unit has landed at Sun Feast Resort, close to the Beejadi beach in the taluk.

The unit immediately got into the shooting sequences. It is likely to continue around the seashore for some days. The climax of the film will be shot in Turtle Bay Beach Resort in Maravanthe and the stint will go on until July 12, according to sources.

The film director being the renowned Yogaraj Bhat of 'Mungaru Male' among other hits, has two heroes and two heroines for his film "Drama".  The entire film revolved around the merriment, fun and frolic of the teenagers, characteristic of the kind of fun of boys and girls in jocund company. 

About 75% of the film has been shot already. The last leg of the shoot is to take place on the Beejadi seashore. Coastal beauty Radhika Pandit and Kodagu cutie Sindhu are in the female lead, while Yash from Mysore and Neenam Satish from Mandya are the twin heroes.

All of them were involved in song picturization which went on briskly on the locales. Under the banner of Jayanna Combines and Films, Jayanna and Bhogendra are the two producers, with an estimated budge of Rs 7 crore.

Jayanna being a film distributor has marketed around 125 films so far. "Drama" is his fifth film. Renowned music director Harikrishna will score music, and the movie will have five songs. Two of them have already been shot. Third song's picturization is in progress. 

Chinnu Prakash is the choreographer, with the assistance of Harsha and Murali. S Krishna, the cameramen of "Mungaru Male" will weave his magic yet again.

Earlier Prakash Rai had been selected for the role of a don, but he was forced to back out because of his mother's ill health. The role is now played by Sampath Raj.   Rohitashwa will appear in a senior don's role. Another role will be played by Rockline Venkatesh. They are expected to join the unit from July 1.

Producer Jayanna, speaking to Mangalorean.com, said, "'Drama' is going to be made in Rs 5 crore-plus budget. Most of the film has been shot. After films like Arjun, Jaji Mallige, Janu, Paramatma and Johny Mera Mera Nam,  "Drama" is going to be my  fifth film.  All my films have been successful.  Soon after the completion of this film, I have plans to take up a new film titled 'Vijie',"  he said.

Leading man Yash said, "This is my tenth film. This film has merriment in the film.  Taking life as it comes is the role that I play.  The story of the film is very close to our real life, and all these experiences have been lived already. It helps to enact the role while having lived the character ourselves.  There is no doubt that the film will be successful".

Radhika Pandit, the main leading lady of the film said, "I am excited about shooting in the coastal locales here.  I appear in a distinct role in the movie."

Ninasam Satish, another leading man, said, "This is my first film where I get to play the lead role. I feel proud getting introduced as an actor to the film world through this film.   I have acted in about 15 films earlier in supporting roles and the director has  identified my acting potential and has cast me in this role.  I try my very best to see to it that I do total justice to the character that I play ".
