Bangalore, July 6 (IANS) Known for its gardens, Bangalore will get an exclusive 25-acre rose garden in city's outskirts on the sprawling estate of Russian painter Svetoslav Roerich and his actress wife Devika Rani.

The estate, spread over 468 acres on Kanakapura Road, about 25 km from city centre, has been acquired by the state government following the death of Roerich in 1993 and Devika Rani the next year.

The state cabinet Friday decided that the horticulture department would develop a rose garden on 25 acres in the estate.

An art gallery would also be developed on another 25 acres to display the paintings of Roerich, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri told reporters after the cabinet meet.

Roerich and Devika Rani lived for several years on the estate they developed on the land given by the state government.

I do not trust these Indian politicians. After some years people will come to learn that these politicians are involved in some scam and have made crores of rupees through devious and underhand means by selling off the lands of the Russian painter, Svetoslav Roerich and his actress wife, Devika Rani.

Thereafter, they will be arrested, some charges framed and then released on bail. That would be the end of the story and they will have ample time to earn their shares of the loot. It will be waste of Indian taxpayers'monies.

Politiians are cancerous cells and are having a fantastic time, because people tolerate their excesses. The matter is further aggravated, because Indian judicial system is totally incompetent, time-consuming and creaky.

Now, Suresh Kalmadi, A. Raja and that old man, Karunadhi's daughter, are out of jail and the cases against them will fizzle off and be a forgotten matter.

Indian's have a Prime Minister, Dr. Manmoahn Sing, who, at best, is a good-for-nothing.
