Bantwal: Theft in Sangabettu - Siddakatte Veerabhadraswamy Temple

Bantwal: Thieves have broken into the Siddakatte Panambur Shri Veerabhadraswamy temple on the night between Friday and Saturday.

The theft came to the attention of the temple priest who had locked the premises overnight and arrived for daily routine on Saturday morning. The front door has been broken open and an assortment of gold, silver and copper articles related to temple rites have been taken away. The value of things stolen has been estimated at Rs 20,000.

Temple trustee Chandrahas Shettigar has filed a complaint with the rural police and investigations are in progress.
