| Belthangady Jan 19: The purapravesha of Vardhamana Sagarji Maharaj, who will lead the Mahamastakabhisheka at Dharmasthala was held on Thursday.
He is the third Acharya of the Shanthisagara Prarampara and also led the previous Mastakabhisheka at Dharmasthala.
The swamijis were welcomed near the Dharmasthala High School premises. In the procession, he was welcomed to the Beedu of Heggade.
Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade and his wife Hemavathi V Heggade led him to the beedu where muni pooja was held. Later, the seers left to Chandranatha Swami Basadi.
Speaking to newspersons on Thursday, Vardhamana Sagarji Maharaj said with the inspiration of late Mathrushri Rathnamma Heggade, Veerendra Heggade installed Bahubali in Dharmasthala. This is the third anointment being held by him, he added. Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade also spoke on the occasion.
