Belthangady: DyCM to Inaugurate Maha mastakabhisheka

Belthangady Jan 26: Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will inaugurate the Mahamastakabhisheka to be held from Jan 28 to Feb 3 at Dharmasthala.

Udupi Pejawar mutt seer Vishweshateertha Swami will deliver the benedictory address. Union Minister of State for Planning M V Rajashekaran will release the book being brought out on the occasion. Minister for PWD and energy H D Revanna will inaugurate the electrical decoration. State-level exhibition and cultural programmes will be inaugurated by the District In-charge Minister B Nagaraj Shetty and Culture department chief secretary I M Vittalmurthy, MP D C Srikantappa and MLA Prabhakar Bangera will participate.

A felicitation programme and poets session will be held on Thursday at Ratnagiri. Poet and MLC Chandrashekar Kambar will inaugurate the poets session. Poet Prof K S Nissar Ahmed will preside. Poets Doddarange Gowda N S Lakshminarayan Bhat, Neeraj Jain, B R Lakshman Rao, Nalur Prasad, Sukanya Maruti, Prof Navujire, K Rajeshwari Gowda, Saroja Kumar, Ramanand Banari and Abhayalakshmi Jayakumar will participate.

The anointment ceremony of Lord Bahubali will be performed on Feb 2. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Delhi Bharathavarsheeya Digambar Jain Teertakshetra Samiti president Naresh Kumar and Nirmal Sethi of Delhi Digambar Jain Mahasabha will participate.

Religious programmes

Torana Muhurtha will be performed on Sunday, followed by sprinkling of holy water from 24 kalashas on the feet of the Lord and entry into Panchakalyana Mantap. Padabhisheka  with 54 pitchers, Yaksha  Pratishte, hoisting of the flag, Sree Peeta Yantraradhana, Garbhavatarana Kalyana will be held on Monday, followed by Seemanta Prastha to the Jinamatha, Bheritadana ritual in the night. , Abhisheka of the idol’s feet with 108 pitchers, Astha Dikshu Dhama Samprokshana, Cahaturdikshu Homa , Janmabhisheka Kalyana

Namakarana, followed by Balalaya Mahotsava on Tuesday. Padabhisheka with 216 kalasha, Kalikumda Yantraradhane, Samrajya Vaibhava, Rajyabhara, Deeksha Vidhi, Parinishkramana Kalyana, Aharadana ritual and Kamaropasarga Vijaya will be held on Wednesday. Gandha Yantraradhana, Mantranyasa, Kevala Jnana Kalyana Mahotsava for Sri Parshawanatha Swami and 504 Kalashabhisheka with 1,008 kalashas and Samavasarana puja of Parshwanatha Teerthankar will be held on Feb 2. Mahamastakabhisheka with 1,008 pitchers, Siddhachakra Yantraradhane and Nirvana Kalyana Mahotsav will be held on Feb 3.

Cultural Programmes

Geetha Saralaya and troupe from Mangalore Nritya Bhatati will present dance drama performance and Nadageethe on Sunday, followed by music programme by well known singers Anuradha Paudwal and Kavitha Paduwal. Later, Bharata Babubali Balya Leelotsava dance drama by artistes of Bharatiya Sangeetha Nritya Kalashale, Hassan and directed by Ambale Rajeshwari will be held. Music tribute programme by Mysore Suneeta Chandrakumar and troupe, Nritya Vaibhava and Parshwanatha Vaibhava by Mysore Badari Divyabhushan by Anjana Bhushan, Dharmadarshana by Natyavisharada U K Praveen and troupe, Nritya Vidya Nilaya, Kadri Mangalore will be held on Monday.

Musical tributes and light music by Sangeetha Katti, singer from Bangalore, Bharatanatyam performance by Madikeri Yamini Muttanna and troupe, Nritya Sangam by Bangalore Madhu Natraj  and troupe and Bharata Bahubali dance drama performance by Mysore Sridhar Jain and troupe will be performed on Tuesday.

Dharwad Prof M Venkatesh Kumar and team will render light music on Wednesday, followed by north Indian folklore programmes Bhavai and Kalberia, Rajasthan, East Indian dance programme Odissi dance by New Delhi Padmashree Ranjana Goel and team and Yakshagana episode Bharata Bahubali by Sri Dharmasthala Mela. Tumkur Poojya Mohan and troupe will present Geeta Namana on Thursday, followed by north Indian folk dance Mayura and Charkua dance, Uttar Pradesh and southern dance programmes, Bharatanatyam performance by cine star Shobhana and troupe from Chennai, light music by Y K Muddukrishna, Chandrika Gururaj, Kikkeri Krishnamurthy, Ramesh Chandra, Premalatha Diwakar and Archana Udupa.

Vidwan B N S Murali and team, Hassan will present Geetanamana, Shama Sanjay and Sanjay Shantaram, Bangalore will present Nrityollasa, S P Balasubrahmanyam and troupe, Chennai will present music programme, eastern folk dance Bihu dance and Orissa dance from Gotipuva will be held on feb 2. Sheela Diwakar and troupe, Mangalore will present Geetanamana programme, Bhanumati and troupe, Bangalore will present Bharatanayam, Sheetalpur Ganesh Chapu troupe, Kolkatta will present east India folk fore Chapu dance on Feb 3. On Feb 4, Sringeri Nagaraj H S and team, Shimoga will present Geetanamana, Natya Lakshman Institute, Bangalore will present Srishti, Padmashree Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan and troupe, Chennai will recite Carnatic music and render violin and an east Indian folk fore dance Bihu and Gotipuva dance from Orissa will be performed.
