Neymar brace helps Brazil down USA 4-1

Foxborough (Massachusetts), Sep 9 (IANS) Star striker Neymar came off the bench in the second half to score twice and help Brazil beat hosts the United States 4-1 in an international football friendly at the Gillette stadium here.

Brazil got off to a quick start, with Hulk converting the game’s first goal in the ninth minute on Tuesday. In the second half, a pair of Brazilian substitutes pushed Brazil into another gear.

First it was Neymar, who buried a penalty kick minutes after coming on, and moments later Rafinha did the same, burying a goal soon after entering. Neymar, would tally again to extend the Brazil lead to 4-0.

In the game’s waning minutes, Danny Williams buried a strong shot from long-range.

The US will next play against Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup on October 10 in California.
