Nine killed in road accidents in Andhra, Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 20 (IANS) Nine people were killed in four different road accidents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Friday, police said.

Five people lost their lives in a collision between a bus and a car in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh early in the morning.

The accident occurred near Mettakuravapalli when the car in which the five were travelling was hit by a bus belonging to the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corp (APSRTC).

The dead include three women and a four-year-old girl. The car was crushed in the collision.

In another accident in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, two people were killed and five injured when a car in which they were travelling overturned. The accident took place near Talluru.

In Telangana’s Nalgonda district, one person died and another was critically injured when a car overturned.

In another accident in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana, one person was killed and two people were injured when a truck hit an auto-rickshaw.
