Nivya P Shetty, Mishal D’Costa from Undivided DK Clear UPSC Exams

Mangaluru: In the UPSC competitive examinations held in 2015, over 30 candidates from Karnataka have passed with rankings.

Among them are two young women from Udupi and DK districts. Nivya Prakash Shetty from Tombattu of Kundapur has secured 274th rank at all-India level. She is the daughter of retired public prosecutor Prakash Shetty and granddaughter of former ‘patel’ of Tombattu, Sadashiva Shetty.

She plans to pursue an IPS career. Terming her success as a small step to begin with on her way to excelling further, she says she wants to dedicate herself to the service of the nation.

She is grateful to her parents for the support she has received, besides God’s blessings.

Mishal Queenie D’Costa, the second daughter of Lazarus and Nancy D’Costa of Neerude in Niddodi village, has secured 387th rank in the UPSC examinations. She is elated that her dream of serving the public administration sector has been realized.

Besides serving the public, she will have job satisfaction, hopes Mishal. She too is thankful to God and her parents for the backing and inspiration.
