NMC Celebrates in a unique way ‘the Year of Giving’

UAE’s largest healthcare provider NMC Healthcare marked its Foundation Day by celebrating around the theme of the Year of Giving.

Reaffirming the commitment to the community, NMC’s healthcare facilities around the world celebrated the day with patients, their families and the staff. The leading healthcare brand expressed its commitment and solidarity with the vision of country’s rulers by aligning its celebratory theme with the tenants of the Year of Giving.

For every patient visiting its facilities on 1st August, NMC is contributing 10 dirhams towards the Global Child Refugee Crisis.

Speaking on the occasion, Prasanth Manghat, CEO of NMC said, “1st of August is NMC Foundation Day. By aligning our goals with the UAE administration, it gives us an opportunity to promote worthwhile causes and renew our commitment to the public good”.

Growing within and beyond the borders of the UAE, NMC has become the largest private healthcare services provider and one of the largest wholesale and distribution businesses in the UAE. Globally, the company ranks amongst the top three fertility providers in the world.

On this foundation day, the company is also reflecting its mission with UAE’s administration through its decision to appoint Happiness officers in every hospital for its patients and Happiness Officers for its large workforce of 12,000 employees.

Founder and Chairman, Dr. B R Shetty expressed, “It’s nice to see my efforts continuing. The success of a healthcare enterprise is not merely a measure of monetary value but the reflection of infinite smiles of patients cured of their illness”.

The foundation day celebrations were marked by colorful events and the day’s proceedings included recognizing and rewarding valuable employees for their contribution towards compassionate care. Besides the several facilities of NMC in UAE, the celebrations were also carried out in its overseas entities including Oman, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Colombia and Brazil.

  1. The spirit of “GIVING” needs no particular day or date because the act of giving helps somebody, somewhere, somehow in one form or another. The Gulf countries have been blessed with enough of expatriates from all kinds of disciplines who have been privileged in so many ways.

    Indians abroad have always shown the act of “Giving” in an extra-ordinary way that has benefited millions all over, specially in India. Therefore, the spirit of giving is a day to celebrate and be mindful of so many needs and wants that prevail all over the world where we can do something, somehow, somewhere for somebody.
