No ‘fun’ for AAP in Goa as everyone has ration cards: Parrikar
Panaji, Sep 17 (IANS) Taking pot shots at AAP over the recent dismissal of its Delhi minister over a sex scandal where he allegedly seduced a woman who had come to get a ration card, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday said he was being told that AAP is not “having fun” in Goa, because there was full coverage of ration cards.
“Many are telling me, that AAP is not having fun in Goa, because in Goa 100 per cent people have ration cards,” Parrikar said.
Earlier in his speech to a gather of BJP workers here, Parrikar lamented that ordinary people had to go through “atrocities” to avail of a simple ration card facility.
“What atrocities do people go through for a simple ration card?” he rued.
Sandeep Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of rape, after a CD showing him in a compromising position with a woman surfaced led to his dismissal. It was later revealed that the woman in the CD had approached the minister for a ration card.
