No one can beat Riteish in sex comedy: Director Milap Zaveri

Mumbai, Dec 22 (IANS) Actor Riteish Deshmukh is the king of the sex comedy genre and no one can beat him in it, says “Mastizaade” director Milap Zaveri.

Riteish was earlier apprehensive of doing sex comedies after his marriage to actress Genelia D’Souza and the birth of their son.

Asked if that was so, Zaveri said: “There was a time when he was apprehensive. But today, he is also doing ‘Great Grand Masti’ and he has also done a cameo in this film.”

“He is the king of this genre. In this comedy, there is nobody who can give him competition,” Zaveri told the media on Tuesday.

Ritiesh has acted in many sex comedies — “Masti” and “Grand Masti”, “Kya Kool Hai Hum” and “Kya Super Kool Hain Hum”.

While he is doing the third movie in the “Masti” series, he has been replaced by Aftab Shivdasani in “Kya Kool Hain Hum 3”.

Zaveri wrote the “Masti” series, and also directed Riteish in his directorial debut “Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai”.

He also wrote the scripts of some other films starring Riteish such as “Housefull”, “Ek Villain” and “Heyy Babyy”.

About their bonding, Zaveri said: “I have worked with him on numerous projects. When I met him, I told him that I know you don’t want to do it, but as a friend, I need you to do this film. It’s just his generosity that he did the film, he did it because of our friendship.”

“He is the surprise package of the film. He will bring the house down since he is phenomenal. He is the highlight of the film,” the director said.

“Mastizaade”, which also stars Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das, is releasing on January 29, 2016.
