Udupi: One person was killed and two injured when a fish laden Lorry hit a Truck, which was parked near Halima Sabju hall, Udyavar on National Highway 22, here on April 29.
The deceased has been identified as Gowdappa (51), a native of Hassan and the injured have been identified as Puttaraju and Kantharaju.
According to Kaup Police, the Fish laden lorry was on its way to Mangaluru from Udupi. When the lorry reached near Halim Sabju hall it crashed into a truck parked on the side of the road and ran over Gowdappa who was standing near the truck along with Puttaraju and Kantharaju after unloading the goods. Gowdappa died on the spot. Puttaraju and Kantharaju sustained injuries and are admitted to the government hospital.
Kaup police have registered a case.
