One killed, two injured in Kolkata blast

Kolkata, Sep 25 (IANS) One man was killed and two others injured in a crude bomb explosion at an abandoned factory site here on Friday, police said.

Sanjeev Das and his co-workers were cleaning an abandoned factory site in Cossipore in north Kolkata when a crude bomb exploded around 3 p.m. Das died while the two others were injured.

“We are carrying out further investigation into the explosion. The site was completely abandoned. We are examining the site now,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Subhankar Sinha Sarkar.
