Pak military kills 8 Indian soldiers, captures 1: Report

Islamabad, Sep 29, 2016 (PTI): Pakistan military claimed that it has killed eight Indian soldiers and captured one while retaliating to India’s firing at the first line of defence at the Line of Control (LoC) at Tatta Pani, a media report said today.

Citing security sources, Dawn newspaper said that the capture and killings occurred when the Indian army opened fire across the border, killing two Pakistani soldiers.

“The dead bodies of the Indian soldiers are still to be recovered by the Indian forces as they lay unattended at the LoC. Security sources say the Indian army has yet to recover the bodies for fear of coming under fire from Pakistan,” the paper claimed.

The paper identified the captured soldier as 22-year-old Chandu Babulal Chohan son of Bashan Chohan from Maharashtra. It said he has been shifted to an undisclosed location.

However, there was no official word on the report. A Pakistan army statement said “an exchange of fire between Pakistani and Indian LoC troops began at 2:30am and continued till 8:00am in the Bhimber, Hotspring, Kel and Lipa sectors” and added that “Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing on the LoC.”

  1. Going by the reaction of Delhi Durbar, it appears that Pakistan has once again has become an obsession for India. There seems to be panic all around the current dispensation on finding means and ways to hit back the neighboring country.
China does not subscribe to India’s position on Kashmir and has openly admitted to stand with Pakistan. Our beloved PM Modiji who has so far met US president 15 times, 3 times this year has not able to win him on his side. Nor he has been able to make the nuke deal operational. He also is unable to muster support from other countries on this issue. The entire world opinion is centered on holding on talks and resolving the problems on hand.
The psychic paralysis of Delhi Durbar is apparent in many ways in dealing with Pakistan. I remember the words of one south Asian professor who said that Pakistan is a lap dog of India that India has fathered to bark at it all the time. It can neither throw the pet away nor is it comfortable to keep it on its lap all the time.
India has many other things to worry about and fighting with history and religion to protect territory and lose our men and material is an exercise in futility. Sooner or later, a solution has to be found to this waxed problem. A climb down from the position of hope is the only option to silence the conspirators and the barking dog on the lap.
As crucial Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to show to the people of India that he could live up to his braggadocio — and he did so when he authorised Thursday’s “surgical strikes” across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan territory to take out seven terrorist “launch pads” and causing what officials are calling “significant casualties”.
If this report seems to be true, this high casualty what is termed as ‘surgical’ is bitter hard to swallow. It is be also reminded that this is the same government did ‘coffin scams’ and ‘brvery awards’ over martyrd soldiers who liberated ‘Kargil’ from Pakistan.

    Jai Hind

    • Well, Mr. Sheikh, I’m really at a loss to comprehend what you were alluding to while copying down somebody else’s thoughts. India needs to retaliate at a time and place of their own choosing. We simply can’t allow these radicalized elements to terrorize India. And well, those ‘surgical strikes’ have shown that India will exercise restraint no more.

More is to come – revisiting the Indus water treaty, the MFN status (ironically conferred – UNILATERALLY on Pak by the JD/BJP combine). Well, we have to squeeze those jokers cojones until they bleed. However, those morons have cast-iron cojones and we have a task at hand.

  2. When it comes anti-Bharatha lobby operating within our borders, there are two major groups. First group is good at faking patriotism when public mood is very nationalistic. As soon as things calm down, this group starts working really hard to peddle anti-army, anti-PM narrative. There is a tv journalist who clearly fits into this category. She was very upset recently because Indian army got rid of a filthy rat in Kashmir.

Then, there is a second category of people who can’t say one good thing about Bharatha or Sanaathana Dharma in their entire life. When public mood is very patriotic, these characters simply hide in their holes and wait for the right opportunity. Weeks later, they slowly crawl out of their hiding and start spewing the same venom they have in the past. A fourth-place-winner, some overrated ‘journalists’ from tehelka and some of the ‘vote bank’ personalities are in this category.

Now, one man and probably tens of thousands of like-minded people belong to a new, bold, dangerous category that doesn’t even hide its true motives and loyalties. See how he NEVER said one thing critical of Pakistan or those terrorist rats who killed 18 soldiers. See how he NEVER said a word supporting India’s army. See how he wants Indians to engage in talks with Pakistan even though they are killing us. See, how his first reaction is to attack India’s leader even in this serious situation. This is how these people talk and behave when they have little power. Now, imagine what would happen if they get power to rule!! Keep all of your political, religious bias aside and think about what I just wrote!!!

  3. “China does not subscribe to India’s position on Kashmir, and has openly admitted to stand with Pakistan”………it appears that you and your kind are also have the same position as China on porkistan.
