Pakistan army chief meets US CENTCOM commander

Islamabad, Aug 26 (IANS) Pakistan Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif on Wednesday met US CENTCOM commander Gen Llyod Austin at the General headquarters in Rawalpindi to discuss regional security.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and issues related to regional security were discussed, Geo News reported.

Gen Austin acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army and its efforts in the war on terror for bringing peace in Pakistan and the region.
