Pakistan condemns Dhaka terrorist attack

Islamabad, July 2 (IANS) Pakistan on Saturday condemned the “senseless terrorist attack” that left many persons killed and injured as about six to eight gunmen attacked a restaurant in the diplomatic quarter of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka and reportedly took 20 hostages.

Bangladeshi security forces on Saturday morning rescued some 13 hostages, killed six gunmen and caught one terrorist alive, ending a long drawn-out siege at a cafe in Dhaka, officials said.

The standoff between government forces and suspected Islamic State militants, which also left two policemen dead, began on Friday evening after heavily armed gunmen stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery in the high-security Gulshan diplomatic zone.

“The government and the people of Pakistan extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the brotherly people and government of Bangladesh over the loss of innocent lives and wish the injured early recovery,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said.

“Pakistan stands in solidarity with Bangladesh and is confident that Bangladesh government will effectively counter this cowardly attack,” the official added.

The spokesman also said the Pakistani High Commission in Dhaka has informed the Foreign Ministry that all embassy staff was safe.

  1. Are these Paki’s serious????

During the war of liberation the West Pakistanis slaughtered their own countrymen in the East. Per government estimates over 3.5 million Bangaldeshi Muslims were massacred in cold blood, but no official apology and no compensation for the loss of live. Yet they shed crocodile tears when a handful of people are killed and conveniently forget all the violent terror groups in Pakistan THAT SHARE THE SAME IDEOLOGY more regularly and systematically do the very same thing.

    • Are these paki’s serious? – Jay

For all his HOLY (INDIAN) cows, Jeez.. he would prostrate and give up his prostrate gland – LIKE his Jayalalitha’s ‘followers’ prostrate at her ‘lotus feet’!

  2. Waiting for Pravin Swami to provide an explanation which blames Turkey and Bangladesh for the ISIS attacks. Pravin Swami always finds an explanation to hold the US and European countries morally responsible when ISIS commits jihad attacks in the US and Europe.

  3. Dinesh D’Souza is a republican, political hack whose only goal is to attack Democrats and make money selling books/movies to his republican base. He just came our of PRISON after serving sentence for breaking election campaign laws!! We need more honest people to talk about America’s greatness, not political hacks like Dinesh. He purposefully misleads people even on topics such as slavery. He is something that we all should try to stay away from.

I’m not a big fan of Regressive Cenk from TYT network. But, he destroyed Dinesh and fully exposed his dishonesty in a recent debate at Politicon 2016. For those who are interested, here is the link:
