Pakistan invites India for Asian conference

Islamabad, Nov 10 (IANS) Pakistan on Monday invited the members of “Heart of Asia Conference”, including India, to participate in an upcoming conference jointly hosted by Pakistan and Afghanistan on December 7 in Islamabad.

Talking to Geo News, Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalilullah observed that India is also a member of “Heart of Asia Conference”, and said foreign advisor Sartaj Aziz and Afghan foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbani have sent invitations to 14 members and 17 other supporting countries to attend the conference.

The spokesman further said that eleven regional and international organisations have also been invited to attend the meet.

The “Heart of Asia Conference” will be held in Islamabad where Afghan peace will be the topic of main discussion besides cooperation between other regional countries.
