Pedestrian hit by Udupi ZP President’s Car Dies
Udupi: A pedestrian was killed when the car of Udupi Zilla Panchayat president knocked him down on NH 66 near Kaup Town Municipal corporation here on Wednesday, August 23.
The deceased has been identified as Chandu (70) a resident of Barath Nagar, Kaup.
According to sources, the Udupi Zilla Panchayat president, Dinkar Babu on his way to Uchila to participate in a school programme. When Chandu was crossing the road near the Kaup Town Municipal corporation, the president’s car hit him. Zilla Panchayat president Dinkar Babu immediately admitted Chandu to the Kaup government hospital in his car and later shifted him to Ajjarkad district hospital in an Ambulance.
Chandu breathed his last in the hospital. The Kaup Police have been registered the case.
