Poojary to host ‘Urulu Seve’ for Peace over Cauvery Water Issue

“I don’t care if CM Siddaramaiah thinks he is Hitler making his own decisions, ignoring others ideas etc, but I am humbly inviting him for the ‘Urulu Seve’ which I am organizing on Sunday 18 September at Shree Gokarnanatha Kshethra-Kudroli for peace regarding Cauvery Water issue. I don’t care if he likes me or not, but he should attend this ‘Urulu Seve’ if he has love towards Sri Narayana Guru, Congress leaders and members, and for the love of six crore people of Karnataka. I hope he will cancel his other busy schedules on Sunday and come here and participate in this ‘Seve’. If not we will see?”–Congress Senior leader Janardhan Poojary.

Mangaluru: Addressing the media personnel during a press meet held at Mangalore Press club, Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary said, “It’s sad to note that in retaliation of Tamil Nadu vehicles burnt in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka, Tamilians in TN have called for Tamil Nadu Bandh today, which should have been prevented. There are reports of few incidents of damage being done to Kannadigas property and vehicles in TN. Will there be peace in this country or what? So in order to ask God to bring peace over the Cauvery water problems in TN, Kerala and also in Karnataka, I have decided to organize “Urulu Seve” at Shree Gokarnanatha Kshethra-Kudroli on Sunday, 18 September 2016 at 10:30 am (time could be changed depending on the weather, if its too hot that day). Congress leaders and members, activists of Yettinahole project and also Cauvery water dispute, religious leaders, temple devotees and Kudroli area neighbours will participate in this Seve”.

“Irrespective of caste or creed, I am inviting everyone to take part in Urulu Seve, because the Kshethra attracts devotees from all religions and communities and on the principle of Shree Narayana Guru’s preaching “One Caste, One Religion, One God”. The Kshethra can be rightly called as the centre point of all religions symbolizing “Unity in Diversity”. Shree Narayana Guru advocated that all of God’s creation had the right to worship the Almighty and preached that people irrespective of the caste, creed or religion must worship one divine force, known by different names. As per the Guru’s advice, idols of Lord Ganapathy, Lord Subramanya, Goddess Annapoorneshwari, Lord Bhairava, the Nava Grahas (Lords of Nine Planets), Lord Shanishwara and Lord Shri Krishna have been installed at the Kshethra. This has helped devotees to worship at all these sannidanams (abode) and seek blessings and solace for their varied problems at one place. Tamilians, Malayalees, Kannadigas, and any other community people are most welcome to join in the Urulu Seve” added Poojary.

Poojary further said, “I am also extending an invitation to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to join in the Urulu Seve which is aimed for a good cause, asking God to grant peace pertaining to Cauvery Water dispute. I don’t care if CM Siddaramaiah thinks he is Hitler making his own decisions, ignoring others ideas etc, but I am humbly inviting him for the ‘Urulu Seve’ – I don’t care if he likes me or not, but he should attend this ‘Urulu Seve’ if he has love towards Sri Narayana Guru, Congress leaders and members, and for the love of over six crore people of Karnataka. I hope he will cancel his other busy schedules on Sunday and come here and participate in this ‘Seve’. If not we will see?.

CM Siddu’s communication with CM Jayalalitha of TN on this Cauvery Water issue has been like a ‘Nanu Gandu, Neenu Hennu” kind of attitude, with no progress or action been taken. Hope there will be peace in both these two states, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Shree Narayana Guru will surely help us in this regard, and our CM should attend without fail”.

  1. Joker Pinto,
Sunday must be a busy day for you at Pilikula with tourists coming over to enjoy weekend. Still, you should join your congress party leaders in doing urulu seve!! In fact, you may like it after long bicycle ride from pilikula to yemmekere.

  2. Sunday must be a busy day for you at Pilikula…. after a long bicycle-ride from Pilikula to yemmekere. – Mangaloori but Yumreeki ThyampaNNA

Lol. You said it, mate. Sundays are always busy for me at Pilikula. After all, besides a horde of desis, we do get a smattering of Yumreekis like you who simply like to feed grass to the primates and further pose with them. And boy, those mankuthimmas simply love posing with them! I guess they feel a sense of belonging! Also, from what I have noticed, those Yumreekis love feeding lump-sugar to the Lions and Meat to Horses. Ahem!

And cycling….man.. nothing like it ya Rampa. You should remove the saddle from your Flying carpet and cycle sometimes. 🙂

  3. Mangaloori but Yumreeki RampaNNA, there are some 6 – 7 people in the pic sporting white, including Mr. alfie. What dost thou have to say about them?

Or, will you have ONLY 1 question – Where did the poor Cow come from? 😉

  4. “…feeding lump-sugar to Lions and meat to horses…” writes Joker Pinto bragging about his newly acquired working knowledge at PiliKula.

I’m happy for you, my friend. Feeding Lions and Horses before cycling back home for a good sleep sounds much better than your Saudi experience with limited animals and ten roommates! Also, Isn’t it great to meet americans at your workplace as compared to random interactions in Saudi shopping malls? Happy for ya.
