Addressing the jam-packed audience, Sri Prasanna Teertha Swamiji said, “We are performing Puja to Goddess Durga and whoever prays to Goddess Durga, she will bless them. I have special respect for Mithun Rai because he is trying hard to retain the culture and tradition of Tulunadu. In this modern era, most of the youth are influenced by modern technology. But Mithun Rai at a young age has organized the tiger dance competition, “Pili Nalike – 3″, we should all support him to continue his zeal in retaining the tradition of Tulunadu. Dasara is celebrated in all the districts according to the tradition and culture. The tiger dance is a traditional dance of Tulunadu and the dancers go from house to house, dancing and entertaining people. Mithun Rai has given them a platform to exhibit their talents by organizing Pili Nalike.”

He further said that nowadays youth are addicted to modern gadgets and they do not participate in any programmes. “But Mithun Rai has the capacity to bring together all the youth. In the coming days, he will surely emerge as a popular leader. Let Mithun serve the society and let God bless him to continue his good work.”

Chief Whip of Karnataka Legislative Assembly Ivan D’Souza speaking on the occasion said, “Mithun Rai and Namma TV has given an opportunity for the tiger dancers to exhibit their talents which is commendable. Tiger Dance is a unique form of folk dance in Dakshina kannada that fascinates the young and the old alike.” He congratulated the organizers and wished success to the participants.
