Radio Star 2009 Contest, Dubai - Aditi Kini sings her way into the semi finals!

Dubai June 18, 2009: An exciting talent hunt called the Arabian Center Radio Star 2009 Contest, specially meant for new and undiscovered singers from the UAE is being held at the Arabian Centre in Dubai in association with Channel Radio 4 Network.  The contest is being held in three languages - Arabic, English and Hindi, across the three Channel 4 Stations.

Little Aditi Kini from Mangalore, who is only 9 yrs old, is making waves with her singing talent as she enters the semi final round of the Radio Star 2009 Contest.  Aditiís father Srinivasa Kini is an Engineer by profession and mother Vidhya Kini is a homemaker and they hail from Jarkala, a small village in Karkala taluk, Udupi.  A liking for music runs in the family and they take active part in the local singing/ bhajan programs and competitions.

Born on 1st Feb 2000 in Bangalore, Aditi is studying in grade 5 in Abu Dhabi Indian School.  Having a cheerful and chirpy personality she has lots of friends and likes to skate, watch television, and visit different places.  Aditi has a God gifted voice and is learning Hindustani classical music from Mrs. Shorburi. She dreams of becoming a brain surgeon when she grows up and also a great singer like Lata Mangeshkar who incidentally is her Idol.

Aditi has also won several prizes in local singing and dance competitions and is the winner of the Kids Talent Contest 2008 conducted by the Panasonic Middle East in Dubai Festival City.
