Udupi: Artists' Forum to Hold Drishya Students' Art Exhibition from Sep 4

Udupi, Aug 31: An three-day exhibition of works of art by the students of Drishya School of Arts will be held under the aegis of the Artists' Forum in ‘Dristi Art Gallery’ here from Sunday September 4, informed Forum secretary Saku Pangala.

He was addressing a press meet held in the Press Club on Wednesday. August 31.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Kasturba Medical College, Manipal dean Dr Sripathi Rao at 10.30 am on Sunday. Former president of Lioness Club Udupi Nirupama Shetty and managing director of Kalkura Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Ranjan Kalkura will be the chief guests. Artists' Forum president U Ramesh Rao will preside over the function

About 64 paintings focused on nature, people's living and traditions,  painted by 32 arts students of Drishya School Arts, will be displayed at the exhibition.

They are Gayatri J Nayak, Divya Amin, Rajesh Shetty, Radhakrishna Baikady, Praveen Kumar, Dr Shweta Kamath, Swati Rao K, Arun M, Manpreet Chabba, Vasanta Lakshmi Hebbar, Pawan Raj, Vasant Devadiga, Manmohan R Pai, Lakshmi Kamath, Sneha Baliga, Anusha Kamath, Manisha Rao, Manya, Jane Quadros, Pradeep Shetty, Anil, Sanjit, Ashok Shet, Khursheed Yaqoob, Raksha Amanna, Melissa Grace, Trishool, Shweta, Chandrakala, Mustaffa, Surena Shetty and Chitra Acharya. The exhibition will remain open all three days from Sunday morning 10 to evening 7 pm.
