Protest in Kashmir town after leopard kills woman

Jammu, July 11 (IANS) A protest erupted in Doda town of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday after a woman attacked by a leopard died in a hospital.

“The woman died in the district hospital in Doda where she was admitted after she was attacked by a leopard in Bhagwah village,” a police officer told IANS.

After the woman’s death, a large crowd gathered outside the residence of the district magistrate after the incident, and started protesting,

The district administration assured the people that the man-eater would be hunted down soon.

This was the third leopard attack in Bhagwah village in the last fortnight, the police official said.
