Puttur: Car Rams into Bridge at Udane – Six from Brahmavar on Pilgrimage Injured

Puttur: A group of six persons travelling in a Maruti car were injured when their vehicle rammed into a minor bridge at Udane on Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway late last week.

They had arrived from Brahmavar in Udupi district and were on their way on a pilgrimage visit to Dharmasthala and Subrahmanya. The car, after hitting the bridge, rolled into a ditch.

The injured are Sadashiva Shetty, Netravati, Shivarama Shetty, Pushpalata, Syed and a 9-year-old boy.

The police from Uppinangady have registered a case.
