Puttur: Distressed Unidentified Youth Spotted in Nellyadi Reunited with Parents

Puttur: As reported in these columns earlier, a distressed-looking young man had been spotted roaming around in Hosamajalu in Nellyadi two days ago.

He was not in a position to give any details about himself, except the name as Shareef. Showing care and concern for him, Hosamajalu mosque committee president K E Abubaqer had given him shelter.

After reading reports in the media with his photograph, his father, Suleiman from Alekala in Ullal identified him and arrived in Nellyadi on Thursday. With the help of the police outpost personnel and others, he visited Abubaqer’s house.

His full name is Muhammed Shareef, who had some psychiatric issues and had left home once earlier, He had been traced by the police on that occasion. Medical treatment had not helped him much and he went missing the second time.

He has now been admitted to a hospital in Deralakatte.
