Puttur: Even after Almost Five Months, No Clues on Woman Missing from Olamogaru

Puttur: Umavati (45), wife of Krishnappa Poojary of Kadtimar in Olamogaru village in the taluk, had left for work as usual at an arecanut garble centre at Puttur on June 15. She has not returned home ever since, nor has she visited any relative
After a search for a week, a complaint had been filed in the Sampya rural police station. As the saying goes, troubles come by the dozen.
Her husband is unwell and is bed-ridden. While a daughter is differently abled, the eldest daughter who was a daily wage earner, had a fall recently and fractured her leg.
Son Ramesh Poojary is the only breadwinner. Besides looking after the whole family, he has to pursue the matter of his mother’s disappearance.
This family deserves the generosity of philanthropists and community leaders.
