Puttur: Hemanath Shetty Demands Resignation of Sushma and Vasundhara

Puttur: Congress leader Kavu Hemanath Shetty addressed a media meet here on Thursday and demanded the resignation of Union minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia in connection with the Lalit Modi issue.

He said that if the RSS and the BJP, which boast of their principles, should see that the two leaders were sent home and prosecuted, if at all they had any morality left in them. He pointed out that in spite of the BJP leaders’ tall claims that the NDA government did not indulge in any irregularities, their shortfalls were coming to light one by one.

He added that the Lalit episode was an example as to how the concept of humanitarianism was being misused in the name of development. He sarcastically said that on humanitarian grounds the BJP leaders were helping the Reddys in the state and Lalit Modi at the Union level at present and on some future day it would be the turn of Dawood Ibrahim to be the beneficiary.
