Puttur: Jago Nagarik Vedike Protests Against Pathetic Roads

Puttur: The Jago Nagarik Vedike along with All College Students Association organized a protest against the pathetic roads from Puttur Private Bus Stand – Kabaka Railway Station – Harady – Kabaka Railway Station. The roads maintained by the Railway Department have not been repaired for the past several years.

About 500 people gathered in front of the railway station at Kabaka, Puttur. In his introductory speech, Joe D’souza, an ex-serviceman, spoke about the road.

Amala Ramachandra Bhat, working President of Sowhardha Vedike, Kolthige and Dinakara Shetty, Legal Advisor of All College Students Association, spoke about the necessity and importance of the road towards the railway station.

The members submitted a memorandum to the Station Master of Kabaka Puttur to take immediate action and repair the road.

Working President of All College Students Association, Donald Noronha welcomed the gathering. Secretary of Jago Nagarik Vedike, Silvia D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Later, the crowd dispersed peacefully.
