Puttur: Man Accused of Taking Sexual Advantage with Promise of Job – Complaint Filed

Puttur: More and more baffling cases of ‘mobile’ friendship are being heard these days.

The young man and a 25-year-old woman from Patrame in this taluk became friends over mobile phone. He introduced himself as Dilip from Venur in Beltangady taluk.

They subsequently met. With promises of getting her a job, he is said to have taken sexual advantage of her. Thereafter he backed out and is said to be avoiding her.

She has filed a complaint against him in Uppinangady police station for cheating her. The police are verifying if the said person is a real Dilip and if he hails from Venur.
