Puttur: NSUI Members Meet Transport Minister, Seek More Facilities for Students

Puttur: A delegation of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) met with state transport minister Ramalinga Reddy here while he had arrived to inaugurate the renovated KSRTC bus terminal in the heart of the city on Saturday.


The Puttur unit of the student body submitted a memorandum to the minister to make available more facilities to the student community. They also sought a roll-back in the sudden hike in bus pass fare introduced lately.

They also brought to the minister’s notice many other issues that troubled the students.

The delegation included NSUI Puttur taluk secretary Ibrahim Batish Atoor, Mangaluru University All-College Students’ Union general secretary Sadiq Bareppady, Puttur NSUI functionary Jassim Kannur and others.

Also present were Puttur youth Congress president Arshad Darbe,RBI director Naveen Bhandary, Vittal Uppinangady block Congress president Praveenchandra Alva, youth Congress general secretary Haneef Madavu, Harish Nidpalli, Sullia assembly constituency youth Congress general secretary Haneef Punchattaru, Siddiq Kooduraste and others.
