Puttur: Pedestrian Hit and Injured at Kallimar, Hospitalized in Mangaluru

Puttur: There has been an alarming rise in the number of injuries and casualties of pedestrians on account of rash, negligent or callous riding by two-wheeler riders in the recent past.

In this town in particular, there have been dozens of cases in the past months. In yet another case, a bike hit Ananda Acharya, a resident of Panglai here on Saturday night, when he was walkin by the side of the road at Kallimar.

Severely injured, he was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru. The traffic police here have registered a case against the rider.
