Puttur: Two Booked for Repeated Breach of Public Peace over Land Dispute

Puttur: Umarabba and Mariamma, residents of Sattikallu in Kedila village in Bantwal taluk, have had a dispute over land for some time.

They often got into altercations which caused breach of public peace. On receiving a number of complaints, the Puttur town police, under whose jurisdiction the area falls, have filed cases against them under section 107 of the Criminal Procedure Penal Code.

The police have submitted a report to the taluk magistrate to obtain written undertaking pledging good behaviour for maximum period.
