Puttur: Vinod Alva’s Jeep Used in Attempt on Life Found Abandoned, Seized

Puttur: A jeep belonging to Kannada-Telugu film actor Vinod Alva, allegedly used in the attempt on the life of a former employee, was seized by the Puttur police on Wednseday.

It was found abandoned by the side of Jalsur-Delampadi road. At the time of the reported attempt on the life of Sachidananda, it was being driven by Udaya Chikkittaya, the driver of Alva. He is said to be absconding now.

Since the spot where the vehicle is not very far from the Kerala boundary, it is suspected that Chikkittaya might have gone into hiding in the neighbouring state.

Alva is already in judicial custody and his application for bail is pending in the 5th additional sessions court.
