Puttur: Woman from Bappalige Dies in KSRTC Bus Mishap in Channarayapatna

Puttur: A night bus arriving from Bengaluru towards here went out of its driver’s control and crashed into a road median at Channarayapatna in the early hours of Sunday, June 14.


Chandravati from Bappalige here, who was travelling in the bus, was critically injured in the incident. She was shifted to a nearby hospital but her life could not be saved, said family sources.

She was returning here after visiting her son in Bengaluru. She is survived by a daughter and two sons, one being Chandrashekhar Bappalige, member of the DK district executive committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
