Rahul Bose mourns for Dhaka victims

Mumbai, July 2 (IANS) Actor Rahul Bose has conveyed condolences to those affected by the Dhaka terror strike.

Bangladeshi security forces on Saturday morning rescued some 13 hostages and gunned down six gunmen, ending a long drawn-out siege at a cafe in Dhaka that began on Friday, officials said.

The standoff between government forces and suspected Islamic State militants, which also left two policemen dead, began on Friday evening after heavily armed gunmen stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery in the high-security Gulshan diplomatic zone.

Rahul, who was in Dhaka for shooting Bangladeshi film “Under Construction” – about a modern Muslim woman struggling to find herself in the sprawl of urban Bangladesh, has expressed his grief for those affected by the attack.

“Spent weeks in 2014 in Dhaka filming ‘Under Construction’. Lived in Gulshan. How quickly the world can change. My condolences w/the affected,” Rahul tweeted on Saturday.
