Rajnath promises all help to flood-hit Tamil Nadu

New Delhi, Nov 19 (IANS) Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday promised “all possible help” to Tamil Nadu where floods have left scores dead and caused widespread destruction.

The minister gave the assurance to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa when she informed him over the telephone about the flood situation in the state.

Rajnath Singh tweeted that the central government was assisting the state agencies of Tamil Nadu in rescue and relief operations.

He said he assured Jayalalithaa of “all possible help”.
